‎Yibile is a thriving suburban community in the Jirapa municipality nestled between Sanwie Gbare and Tampala and is noted and acknowledged for its peacefulness, friendly nature and social and cultural ties with almost all the communities in the Jirapa traditional area and beyond.

‎The main stay of the people there are mostly farming, animal husbandry, weaving and sewing of traditional garments and trading, especially in foodstuff and livestock.

‎The community with a population exceeding some 800 people was thrown into a state of celebration when a new chief and queen mother were enskinned in a colourful ceremony.

‎The event attracted scores of patrons from both far and near to witness the culturally rich event whilst welcoming the new chief and queen mother to their new roles as traditional rulers and pacesetters to champion the overall development of the area through human development, promotion of peace, settlement of disputes and advancing the course of Yibile to greater heights.

‎The kingmakers settled on now Naa Dangzing Francis Suglo I and Pognaa Faustina Kyiere I as chief and queen mother respectively.

‎Naa Dangzine Francis Suglo I is a farmer by profession a family man par excellence and a statesman, ehilst Pognaa Faustina Kyiere a daughter of the place place is well known for advocating community development through championing the course of women and children and offering invaluable unbridled advice in that stead.

‎The kingmakers took them through the customary process of installation where their duties of office were outlined to them, codes of conduct spelt out, reminder of the enormous tasks of office that awaits them and their duty to the ancestors of the land and the regalia of office given to them to signify they are now chief and queen mother respectively.

‎In the case of the chief, he was adorned with a smock, a matching hat and a walking stick and an umbrella, all with their significance affording him the authority to carry himself and act as chief of Yibile.

‎On the part of the queen mother, she was also adorned with a traditional cloth, a headgear to go with, a traditionally molded pot and a calabash, making her the the foremost mother figure of the area where she was reminded of her duty to handle all issues concerning women, be a traditional adviser whilst supporting the chief in all developmental endeavors.

‎Notable among some of the dignitaries that graced the occasion were the acting President of the Jirapa Traditional Council, Tugo Naa David Tambah I, Chairman for the occasion, Daffiama Kyekale Naa, NaaOryelleh Kunliepuori Suglo II, paramount chiefof Jirapa, Naa Dinaa Dongabong Ganaa III amongst others.

‎There were other divisional chiefs and the queen mother for Tampaala, Pog Naa Mary Lillie Bacheyie to cement the success of the coronation.

‎Also present were the Municipal Chief Executive of Jirapa Hon. Peter To-ang, the member of the council of state for the Upper West Region, HE. Kwame Mumuni (Believers) was represented by Hon. Awaana Michael the Presiding Member of the Jirapa Assembly, Hon. Benedict Ninfaazuma and some prominent sons and daughters of the land.

‎Tradition was not left out when retired Ghana Education Service member of staff and businessman Joseph Nateg led others who have maternal relations to Yibile to traditionally support their “mother” in the coronation, an act which the elders say is an unwritten requirement traditionally.

‎The speeches from the Jirapa Naa and the MCE all centered on the restoration of the falling standards of tradition and culture, peace, unity and development of which they were urged to work assiduously to improve upon and uphold.

‎There was drumming, dancing merry making and musketry into the night after all the formal engagements were finalized.
