The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Sissala East, Hon. Adamu Bening Yakubu, has urged public servants in the municipality to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethical conduct, and responsibility in the discharge of their duties. 

‎This follows the MCE’s familiarization tour of key institutions in the municipality in his first week in office to engaging with heads and staff of key institutions, including the Ghana Health Service, Ghana Education Service, St. Claire’s Technical Institute, Tumu Secondary Technical School, Kanton Senior High School, and the Tumu Midwifery Training School.

‎The purpose of the visits was to assess operational challenges and institutional needs while fostering collaboration between local government and service providers. 

‎In his address, Hon. Yakubu emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism regardless of political affiliations.

‎He acknowledged the right for individuals to have political inclinations but stressed that public service must remain impartial, guided by ethical codes rather than partisan interests.

‎He warned against any form of political victimization, assuring workers of a conducive environment to perform their duties without undue interference. 

‎The MCE also highlighted the need for fiscal responsibility, urging officials to prioritize needs and submit well-structured proposals to the Municipal Assembly for integration into composite planning.

‎Hon. Yakubu urged residents and civil society organizations to actively participate in local governance, stressing that collective effort is crucial for achieving meaningful progress.

‎He assured the public of an open-door policy, welcoming constructive feedback to guide his administration’s policies and programmes. 

‎The MCE expressed optimism about the municipality’s potential for growth under his leadership, reaffirming his commitment to delivering on the government’s reset agenda for the people of Sissala East.

‎He vowed to work tirelessly to secure the necessary resources and partnerships to improve livelihoods and foster sustainable development.
