The Jirapa Municipal Health Management Team held its annual performance review review for the year 2024 here in Jirapa themed “Digital Health and Innovation in Service Delivery, The Role of Stakeholders” where the Paramount Chief of the Jirapa traditional area, Naa Dinaa Donglabong Ganaa III and Municipal Public Health Nurse, Florence Dramani, were recognized for their meritorious contribution to health care provision to the municipality.
They were awarded with citations which briefly mentioned some of the acts of valour, sacrifice and innovation among other acts and deeds that made them stand out and made their services exceptional in the positive contribution to health care services in the Jirapa Municipality.
In the case of the Jirapa Naa, Naa Donglabong III his immense contribution to health care delivery had been noted since he became secretary to the Jirapa traditional council, regent to the then Jirapa Naa, Naa Ganaa II and ultimately being coronated as the Jirapa Naa after the demise of Naa Ganaa II.
His keen interest in health care delivery and open door policy in spite of the bureaucratic bottle necks associated traditional court protocol were some of the attributes that were noted and commended.
In the case of Ms. Dramani, her unwavering real zeal in her duties as municipal public health nurse, her personal interconnection and engagement with the public and her team members and ability to go out of her usual duties as public health nurse to engage Non Governmental organizations such as the Mastercard Foundation to support adolescents in receiving livelihood entrepreneurial skills such as pastry and soap making, agriculture and and agribusiness among others made her stand out.
Her interest and acts in women and girl child affairs which has kept scores of teenage girls off the streets after school and ultimately from negative social vices is seen as a device in improving the reproductive health of these young girls whilst providing them with a livelihood.
In a report submitted by the Wa Municipal Health team which reviewed the activities of the year 2024 of the Jirapa municipal health team it came out that the Jirapa health directorate under the stewardship of Madam Florence Ansumwin, performed exceptionally well, making it one of the best performing Health management teams in the region and the country with some of the workers winning national awards.
The review revealed that the Jirapa Health team garnered a colossal 4.1 points out of a scale of 5.0, a feat which has been highly commended and celebrated including the Jirapa Naa, Naa Dinaa Donglabong Ganaa III.
