The Jirapa Municipal Assembly has handed over two (2) tricycle ambulances to Kogri and Somboro Community-Based Health Planning Services (CHPS) compounds to help improve health care delivery.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Jirapa, Lawyer Nicholas Soyiri, who handed the ambulances to the two health facilities said they were useful in view of the road network in the areas.

Even though the government had procured ambulances for all the constituencies across the country, the services of the tricycle ambulances are still needed due to the deprived nature of the communities.

The MCE after the presentations urged the beneficiary communities to maintain the ambulances to keep them in good condition.

The ambulances are expected to solve the community’s challenges in transporting patients to referral facilities during emergency.

Tamimu Issah, the assemblyman for Kogri electoral area, commended the Jirapa Municipal Assembly and the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo for the ambulance.

He appealed to the MCE to address some developmental challenges in the community.

The assemblyman for Somboro, Wienaa Sylvinus on behalf of the community also thanked the Municipal Assembly for the donation.
