The Chief of Sabuli in the Jirapa Municipality of the Upper West Region, Naa Gariba Fuseini III has organized a health screening exercise in the Sabuli area as part of activities to mark the 6th year anniversary of his ascension to the skin of Sabuli as traditional ruler.



The one day screening exercise as part of other activities to mark the event saw people from far and near in the traditional area have themselves checked for various illnesses.

The Physician Assistant of the Sabuli Health Center who oversaw the exercise, Emmanuel Yeboah Danfo said the exercise which is free is very important because it helps identify hidden diseases for early treatment.

He said the exercise which was solely sponsored by the organizers had an encouraging attendance and involved investigation into maladies such as Hepatitis B and C, high Blood Pressure, Hypertension, Body Mass Index, malaria, COVID-19 vaccination among others.

Mr. Yeboah said anyone found tobe having any of these conditions that could not be immediately managed was referred for further investigation and management.

Richard Douyuori, one of the organizers of ceremony said they found out that the health screening exercise will be beneficial to the people because health is one of the most important things for a happy community hence the organization of the exercise.

Mr. Douyuori said the attendance was encouraging and that other activities such as a cleaning exercise and a durbar of the chiefs and people and that the Municipal Chief Executive, heads of departments and sons and daughters of Sabuli have been invited to attend the programme.
