Citi News’ Sami Wiafi reports that Member of Parliament for Jirapa, Cletus Dapilsh has kept a GHS 100, 000. 00 bounty on the killer(s) of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Royal Cosy Hill hotel here in Jirapa.

According to the report, Mr. Johnson, a native of Jirapa established the resort in a bid to put the Upper West Region on the tourism map of Ghana and beyond to attract visitors, tourists and conferences.

The resort is said to engage over 300 hundred direct employees and several indirect workers and businesses in and out of the municipality.

The lifeless body of Mr. Johnson is said to have been found in a pool of blood in his room at the premises of the hotel on Sunday February 11, 2024.

The police we gather have made five arrests, five of whom have been granted bail.

The Member of Parliament is optimistic that the perpetrators will be apprehended and brought to book, admonishing the general to volunteer relevant information to aid the security apparatus get to the bottom of the dastardly act.

The death of Mr. Johnson has sent shock waves through the township and pockets of people can be heard talking about the event in hushed tones expressing shock and grief with others recalling his philanthropic deeds

It can be recalled that the resort has hosted several high end events with the recent being Samin, Wiyaala and other artists on bill.

Revelers were looking up to celebrating the valentine’s day celebration but we’re disappointed because of the act.

The resort has also hosted several national and international meetings with the recent being senior officers of the Ghana Army.
