The Dstrict Chief Executive for Daffiama Bussie Issah District, Hon. Nadi Imoro Sanda, has cut the sod for the construction of two 6-unit classroom blocks at Bussie and Wogu respectively.
The new block at Bussie is part of the ongoing construction of the Bussie senior High Technical School.
It will add up to the already existing 3-unit classroom block which has been completed and administration block which is still under construction.
The two classroom blocks are expected to be completed within a 6-month period and will provide a modern and spacious learning environment for students and will go a long way to iron out the challenges of overcrowding and inadequate infrastructure.
Each of the blocks come with a 10-seater WC toilet and a mechanized borehole.
The project is being funded by GETFund as part of the educational development plan aimed at improving access to quality education for all.
Two separate ceremonies were held to mark the occasions and were graced by District Education Director, traditional leaders, assembly members, teachers and community members.
The Hon DCE was accompanied by the District Coordinating Director for DBI, the NPP constituency chairman for DBI, Felix Naah.
In his address, the DCE who also doubles as the NPP parliamentary candidate for the constituency in the upcoming December election, thanked the GETFund for the projects and emphasized the Importance of equality education in shaping the future of the district.
He expressed his commitment to improving the district’s educational infrastructure for conducive learning, saying “education is the backbone of development, and we are dedicated to ensuring that our children have access to the best facilities to excel”.
The traditional rulers and other opinion leaders present expressed their gratitude to Hon. Sander for lobbying for the projects for the area.
