Dr. Kwabena Duffour, a flagbearer aspirant has withdrawn his suit against the National Democrtic Congress. The withdrawal paves way for the party’s parliamentary and presidential primaries scheduled on May 13, 2023.

Dr. Duffour on Tuesday filed an injunction in court restraining the party from going ahead with the election. The NDC flagbearer aspirant alleged that there were discrepancies in the party’s electoral roll.

But the former Finance Minister on Friday through his lawyers withdrew the case when it was called for hearing.

There was no opposition from the NDC’s legal team and that of the Electoral Commission.

The NDC is now expected to proceed with its primaries to elect a flagbearer and parliamentary candidates on Saturday, May 13, ahead of the 2024 elections.
