The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa Constituency Hon. Dr Sebastian Ngmenenso Sandaare has honoured an invitation from the students union of Daffiama-Bussie-Issa and Nadowli-Kaleo in Sunyani Technical University in Sunyani to a meeting through a representative.
Speaking on behalf of the MP, Dr. Nasage Nestor encouraged the students to concentrate on their studies because it is the core purpose of their being in school.
He said education is important to the MP and that he putting efforts in supporting student needs such as school fees, teaching and learning material and other social activities.
The recent mock exams in the constituency, payment of students school fees and many others are evidence of his interest in education and empowerment.
The representative further advised the students to be abreast with current happenings in the country and not be influenced with money in undertaking negative activities especially in the impending 2024 general elections.
A donation of a set of jerseys and an amount of GHS 500.00 made to the union and an assurance of his preparedness to support anytime he is called on.
The patron of the union and a senior lecturer, Mr Ernest Yengbalang Botah expressed his gratitude to the MP for the support.
In a related development, Dr. Sandare has presented 420 mathematical sets to all examination candidates of the Basic Education Certificate Examination in the Daffiama-Busei-Issa district to support them in the impending exams.
