The mother of murdered motor mechanic Morris Puorizuma broke down in tears as she recalls her daily struggle with her children as a single mother.
Morris Puorizuma’s brutal killing sparked shock in Jirapa after he was shot dead in the early hours of Saturday, 20th May, 2023.
The police in Jirapa has arrested one suspect in connection with the murder.
Mavis Puorizuma recalled her struggle and difficulty in taking care of Morris and his siblings after their father passed away.
“I am sad over the death of my son. Even when you animal dies it gives you some level of sadness. The father died and left them for me and I struggle with them up to now and I’m still struggling. I’m sad, if he was sick and I’m not able to take care of him but he would have told me what happened to him”.
“I have five children and Morris is my fourth. When I saw him, he was not breathing, I didn’t get the opportunity to listen and hear from my son what he has done. I don’t have any strength; I only want to know what caused my son’s death,” she added.
