Member of Parliament (MP) for the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa (DBI) Constituency in the Upper West Region of Ghana, Hon. Dr. Sebastian Ngmenenso Sandaare has donated 500 mathematical sets and fifty bags (50 kg) of rice to the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates to facilitate their sitting the exams.
This was done through the District Education Directorate.
This forms part of the MP’s annual gesture to BECE candidates in the district in promoting academic excellence across the DBI district and the region at large.
Hon. Sandaare also presented an undisclosed sum of money for the purchase of a car battery to facilitate the supervision of exams across all examination centres in the district.
Presenting the items In a short but impressive ceremony, the MP thanked the Education Directorate for working tirelessly to improve and raise the standards and quality of education in the district.
“I want to appreciate all of you for your sacrifices and dedications in modeling our future leaders particularly at the time of preparing them for their final exam, Let’s continue to give our best”. He stated.
Receiving the items, the District Director of Education for DBI, Mr Michael Ayamdor on behalf of the Directorate thanked the MP for his continuous support to them and pledged to give all their best for the growth of the district.
About Four hundred and ninety-four (494) candidates are expected to sit for this year’s BECE exams across the District comprising of 217 males and 277 females which is in sync with the national statistic and so many other districts with a female dominance of 306, 078 as against their male counterparts’ population of 297, 250.
The lawmaker has extended his warmest wishes to all the candidates in their examinations.
