The communities of Nambeg and Tambogri are benefiting from potable water from a new borehole due to the benevolence of the Director of YEMANGATAA, a Jirapa based business entity.

The deed was achieved through the collaborative effort of the assembly member for Nambeg, James Dery and it came to fruitation on the 2nd of June, 2024 and was handed over to the beneficiary communities at short but impressive ceremony through the assembly member for Nambeg.

It took a relatively short time for YEMANGATAA to assent to the request and sink the borehole, according to speeches delivered.


The provision of the borehole according to some women from one of the beneficiary community, the deed will improve the quality of their lives and provide a foundation for future development and prosperity.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the support from YEMANGATAA, stating that the borehole will go a long way to reduce the arduous task of going in search of water from distant and contaminated sources.

“We are overwhelmed with joy, this borehole will make a world of a difference for our families, we can now access clean water without having to walk long distances”. one of the women said.

The assembly member, James Dery, expressed his gratitude to YEMANGATAA for coming to the aid of his community, he indicated that the community has been facing challenges accessing potable water for quite a while, describing it as godsent having a decent source of water now.


Ernest Kansangabata who did the survey to identify the community thanked the community members for their co-operation edgeding them to take good care of the borehole.
