Wa East MP, Dr Godfred Seidu Jasaw has demonstrated his commitment to education and the well-being of students by paying an official visit to the Funsi Senior High School.

During his visit, Dr Jasaw assessed the state of school facilities, status of completion of ongoing projects that had been stalled for the past eight years.

He also interacted with both the teachers and students and listened to the grievances raised by the school community.

The headmaster appealed for the early completion of the stalled construction of a dining hall, an assembly hall and dormitory buildings.

He informed the Member of Parliament (MP) that students struggle to participate in programmes outside Funsi because of absence of a school bus and a pickup.

He urged the MP to seriously rally support in this direction for the smooth running of the school.

The headmaster also mentioned the need for projectors and skills training equipment for the newly created home economics department.

The students want a television set to stay abreast with current affairs, iron pans to help with sharing meals.

Dr. Jasaw assured them that he taking note of their concerns and would initiate actions in addressing the grievances.

In a gesture of goodwill and support, he donated sanitary pads covering 3 menstrual cycles each to the final year female students of the school.

He also donated ten streetlight bulbs to help improve the lighting on the school campus, ensuring the safety and security of the students and staff.

The MP’s visit and donations have been warmly received by the school community, with many expressing their gratitude for his generosity and commitment to improving the educational experience at Funsi SHS.
