Permanent reconstruction of the dining hall complex at Ullo Senior High School in the Jirapa Municipality of the Upper West Region will begin soon.
The contract awarded for reconstruction following a devastating fire outbreak that destroyed the 1No. 2-Story Dormitory Block and other Two Rooms in February this year.
The fire completely destroyed the roof of the dining hall, food stuff, over 5000 exercise books and other stationery belonging to the school.
“I am happy we’re here today, some few months ago I received a call around midnight that there was a fire outbreak here. I came here that very night to see at firsthand how the situation was and also reported to my boss the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih. Fortunately the minister awarded the contract for the reconstruction of the facility,” said Lawyer Nicholas Soyiri, the Municipal Chief Executive for Jirapa.
The GHC1.9 million contract for the project has been finalized and awarded to MESSRS SAT LINK LIMITED. Work is slated to start very soon and will be completed in six (6) calendar months.
Add Design Group Limited is the consultant for the projects.
