The people of Balienea in the Daffiama – Buseie – Issa District of the Upper West Region of Ghana are benefiting from an 18, 000 Cedi borehole project which will provide much needed potable water for that community with a population numbering over a thousand inhabitants.
This came to fruitation after a native of the community, a farmer by profession, Dorsar Jonas affectionately known as Borzin Man, deeded the project to the community through his known philanthropic deeds.
This act of kindness by “Borzin Man” has taken away the burden of a community with the acute need for clean water for domestic consumption and other essential purposes whilst bringing to an era where they had to rely on two boreholes in much need of repair and maintenance to an end.
One of such hard hit part of that community is Balienea Kuso, where community members had to rely on a seasonal water body for water needs.
All of these seem to be behind the Balienea community as they expressed gratitude and joy amidst, celebration, pump and pageantry.
To them, an era of essential, clean, healthy and accessible water construction has just begun.
Their expression of thanks to “Borzin Man” was unmeasured.
